She was wild and screaming running around the house. She also died while holding her daughter in her arms which was lay in blood.

The people said thats not true.Then the bishop said that their families in canada were sad about they being apostate, when he said that the people were silence. chiniquy was unsure the cause of the silence was it an impression the bishop made on them or the coming of the storm. then one farmer among them with his bible said the bible will guide us and allover was heard an Amen.
When this happen the bishop fell back in his arm chair. And when chiniquy saw him recovering he steped in front of the patform ready to speak when he felt the claws of a tiger it was the bishop who was shaking him in an angry voiceand said that not a word from him. The audience that saw the hand of the bishop raised against chiniquy and heard the bishop forbidden him to speak.They were outrage and were out of control ready to put him out. And the people yelled "The infamous(known for evil acts) wretch! Down with him! He wants to enslave us again, he denies us the right of free speech! he refuses what our pastor has to reply Down with him". The crowd were runing toward the platform and chiniquy rushed to the stairs and try to stop the crowd from laying hands on the bishop. Then there was one who was great at speaking and made the people think that they should be glad that they witness with their own eyes what chiniquy said all along was true.

Then the people were calm and chiniquy escorted the bishop to his carriage and the people told him to never return.

This occurance was spread over America,many protestants wrote to chiniquy if it were true, chiniquy wrote back that they should come and see for themselves.

When chiniquy went and visit quebec the bishop had his people threaten chiniquy of stoping him spreading the bible.There were about 50 people who lay hands on him and told him to stop with the bible.Every where he went he was attack by a mob of angry catholics.

This book is abridged from the 1886 edition published in London. It is the page turning autobiography of one Charles Chiniquy who was born in Quebec and raised as a Roman Catholic. He became a priest and served as such for 25 or so years. Everywhere he served (various parishes, a hospital, a monastary, Canada, U.S., etc...) he found SIGNIFICANT corruption in Romanism. Ninety plus percent of the priests and bishops were constantly drunk, sleeping with women, involved in sexual affairs with their own close relatives, involved in theft, simony, and all sorts of evil behaviors. Some even murdered others. Chiniquy fought with these bishops and others over the purity of the "church" until eventually he figured out that the Roman Catholic church was not the church of Jesus Christ. At that point, he resigned with most of his congregation (of thousands) from Romanism to form their own independent church. Later, they joined the Presbyterians. In the 1850s, Chiniquy hired Abraham Lincoln to defend him against some corrupt priests and bishops. Lincoln helped him win the day twice. The book claims to prove that the Jesuits were behind the initiation of the U.S. Civil War and Lincoln's assasination. I was skeptical about this claim until I finished the book. I now believe that he is probably correct about this or at the very least that they (the Jesuits) contributed significantly to the Civil War and to Lincoln's demise. Protestants and Catholics alike should read this work. It is excellent.

If you want an in depth look at the atrocities committed by the Catholic hierarchy down through the years, carefully concealed behind a veil of righteous pretense to dupe the masses, then you should read this man's testimony; he was one of the faithful few who maintained his biblical integrity, and was eventually ousted for asking others to do the same. A thrilling account, to say the least

I would recommend, while remembering that God's people are every where no matter their religion, to always be mindful of his children, but the Lord rewards those who fervently seek his truth. He went back to his place where he was staying and cried and open the bible to find the words that christ has bought us with a price and we are his.
He had thoughts that he have left the church of his mom,dad,people of Canada,and friends.He didnt know what would become of him, he felt of ending his life by stabing himself but the word of god held him back.

He then went to st.Anne the land he founded. The people there gathered in the church. He told them about what they wanted of the bishop and that the bishop asked him to take the words gospel of christ and the bible. He said that they were the ones to cut the ties they had with him . He gave up the church of Rome to follow the gospel of Christ. He said that those that were to remain in Rome were to move and no one moved. The people converted from Rome. Chiniquy had images of Rome in the church and wanted to make a bunfire just as knox and john calvin made of all those relics of old Paganism but he was to do it in a way to not hur the people that were still used to this idols. He read to them the 2nd commandment, he said to the idols that he would ask them to leave now if they could but since they have eyes but do not see,ears that do not hear,mouth but does not speak,legs but does not walk, he made the idols fall down into fragments and seeing that the people were laughing of what was been done to the idols they have often postrated themselves said how foolish were they to believe that the idols were to help them when they idols cant help themselves.

He then went to discuss and end the belief in the existence of purgatory. He said we have read the scriptures from the gospel and there is no mention of purgatory. It was then the feast of all souls day and the people were acustomed to the giving of money for the souls in purgatory. He said he would pass 2 boxes, one color white is for the poor and the one color black is for the people who still believe in purgatory of the dead. No one put money on the black box.

Then a bishop was said to be coming to st.Anne and the people were ready before he came they put a platform and chairs. Chiniquy read to them what the bishop stated that chiniquy is leading people astray that he would come to st.anne and speak to them.

When the bishop arrive on his carriage the whole people of st.anne were gather together. In sight of the bishop chiniquy set up the american flag to let the pope and his people know that this was no inquisition but this was america the land of the free. when the bishop saw the people gather he was terrified he had been told that the people were capable of striking.
He ran and chiniquy went after him 1sa to tell him there is nothing to worry about all is safe and no danger to worry about that the people are happy to see him.
Then chiniquy walk beside the bishop up to the platform the bishop ask him to not and chiniquy said he was to be there to answer his questions.
Then the bishop spoke and try to convince them that they were unable to interpret the bible without the catholic church who is to guide them.

The people said thats not true.Then the bishop said that their families in canada were sad about they being apostate, when he said that the people were silence. chiniquy was unsure the cause of the silence was it an impression the bishop made on them or the coming of the storm. then one farmer among them with his bible said the bible will guide us and allover was heard an Amen.
When this happen the bishop fell back in his arm chair. And when chiniquy saw him recovering he steped in front of the patform ready to speak when he felt the claws of a tiger it was the bishop who was shaking him in an angry voiceand said that not a word from him. The audience that saw the hand of the bishop raised against chiniquy and heard the bishop forbidden him to speak.They were outrage and were out of control ready to put him out. And the people yelled "The infamous(known for evil acts) wretch! Down with him! He wants to enslave us again, he denies us the right of free speech! he refuses what our pastor has to reply Down with him". The crowd were runing toward the platform and chiniquy rushed to the stairs and try to stop the crowd from laying hands on the bishop. Then there was one who was great at speaking and made the people think that they should be glad that they witness with their own eyes what chiniquy said all along was true.

Then the people were calm and chiniquy escorted the bishop to his carriage and the people told him to never return.

This occurance was spread over America,many protestants wrote to chiniquy if it were true, chiniquy wrote back that they should come and see for themselves.

When chiniquy went and visit quebec the bishop had his people threaten chiniquy of stoping him spreading the bible.There were about 50 people who lay hands on him and told him to stop with the bible.Every where he went he was attack by a mob of angry catholics.
