This is another winner in the Sons of Sanctuary series. Victoria Danann has done it again. She creates such compelling characters and exciting stories. I admit that I did not know if I would like her new series. I love her fantasy and paranormal tales. I am not attracted to motorcycle gang culture, but she has re-imaged it in such a way that I was completely drawn into the book.

Brandon is the twin that grew up in wealth and privilege. He runs Germane Enterprises. Finding out he had a brother and a father in Texas has changed his life. He is so glad they have become friends as well as family. His new relatives are members of a motorcycle club. Brandon can't be member without giving up his other life and his responsibilities to his business. Yet he still wants to be a part of the club. He gets his chance when the club is hired to act as a bodyguard to a rich man's daughter. No one in club wants the job. If Brandon takes it, he can get the members' respect and by-pass some of the other regulations.

Cami is in the processes of getting a divorce. The man she thought she married turned out to be a monster. He will stop at nothing to get what he wants. He even planned to murder her for her inheritance. Her father wants to keep her safe until the divorce is final and her husband can no longer get her money. So the Sons are hired to protect her.

Brandon and Cami immediately have issue with each other. Brandon sees her as a job and Cami sees him as a heartless jailer. It is a shame they both find the other so attractive. There are other barriers as they travel together. He knows she is a client and he can't act on his feelings. She feels they have nothing in common and any relationship would be meaningless.

They must face natural and human obstacles on their road trip together. There is humour, romance, and adventure. One part was so exciting, I almost missed my bus stop. This is definitely a page turner. I highly recommend it.

This is a really wonderful book. I loved the danger and mystery added to the romance. I am never disappointed in Danann’s writing. Her plots are interesting and always keep me reading faster and faster to the very end. Her character’s simply are so complete that they are more like friends than just characters. Brandon and Cami are so good they jump from the page to your heart. Watching the interactions between them is so much fun. The romance is slow and heats up nicely. Also, Danann’s dialog is always sharp and sometimes funny. The world of the Son’s of Sanctuary MC is fully developed and feels real. I went through so many emotions but in the end I wished it had not ended. I wanted to hear more about this couple and all the rest if the family. This is the second of the series but can be read as stand alone. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
This story kind of jumped the shark for me. While I like Brand, I thought Cami was nothing but a spoiled rich priss who did nothing but complain. I seriously got to the point of wanting to scream if I heard her complain about "poison" food one more time. All of her b*tching and moaning had her sounding nothing like a woman who had been abused and more like a child. And Brand at the end? Not totally surprising, but kind of a big change from the guy wearing suits that cost more than my car. I can see the attraction on paper, but in reality it just wasn't there.

Another harsh aspect were the multitude of glaring grammatical errors. They were so surprising they shocked me right out of the story. VD's books are usually so impeccable, so the errors detracted more from the story than I would expect.

Overall, I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. I was really excited for a new series, but I really don't know if I have any desire to continue... Not something I ever thought I'd say about Ms. Danann's books...
Victoria Danann has hit another home run with "The Biker's Brother". Instead of jumping right into book 2 of the series, I took the time to go back to "Two Princes" (Book 1) and reread part of it starting in Colorado where the two brothers spent a month together. It brought me back into the lives of SSMC and made Book 2 that much more enjoyable. I noticed that Book 1 is a freebie on in kindle format and highly recommend it before reading Book 2 as it will make a great reading experience for people new to the story. Just so you know I am not a reviewer and have paid for both books at . I've read all of Ms Danann's books and love them all because she has a unique ability to reach into your emotions and make you feel her characters. I've been riding motorcycles including Harley's for over 40 years in addition to being a US Army Vet, Master Skydiver, Master Scuba Diver and Trimix deep diver. I snowboard and ski during the winter months and read about 100 books a year. The point is you can be a man and still enjoy the stories Victoria Danann delivers in each of her very well written books. I hope this review helps guide some guys to discover the worlds Ms Danann has created in all of her books. Try some out they're worth it.
